Super Grover to the Rescue: Trump Taps Sesame Street Hero as New Fed Chair
In a move described by Fox Business as “bold and disruptive” President Trump today announced that Super Grover, the furry blue Muppet with a cape — will leverage years of experience in the aviation industry in a new role replacing Jerome Powell as Chair of the Federal Reserve.
Powell can’t legally be fired. So instead, he will remain in an “advisory capacity”
Super Grover, summoned from the foam-and-felt multiverse of Sesame Street, arrived at the press conference via catapult—smashing headfirst into the podium, scattering index cards, dignity, and a handful of rate forecasts across the Rose Garden.
“Have no fear, Super Grover is here! With ECONOMIC STABILIZATION!” he bellowed, flapping his cape and accidentally clotheslining a junior intern from the Congressional Budget Office.

Trump, introduced Grover as the man—well, Muppet—for the job.
